Bernardo Urbina

Nestor Console | One-of-a-Kind

$495.00

Nestor, an 89-year-old filipino man, sourced out this upcycled material and Bernardo Urbina gave it a new life. This console table is like no other - its concept is an adaptation of the bangka boat in the Philippines, which structure uses side supports to balance out a tall slim structure.

This item is part of their Tacloban Prevails Collection, where the brand partners up with victims of the Typhoon Haiyan by buying their scrap wood and turning it into a work of art. 10% of Urbina's final sale goes back to the person sourcing the material.

The console brings a modern and cozy energy to any room it is placed in. This item is a perfect example of a modern philippine piece of furniture, by retaining the history of the material and the Filipino culture embedded in the furniture itself. Place this item in your house and get a chance to share the story with the people who matter to you.
