- CASA TERRA LIFESTYLE
It is sustainably made of natural New Zealand wool sourced from the sheep traversing the grassy planes of New Zealand. It is handwoven in a handloom construction featuring 187.550 knots per square meter. The pile height is cut in a thick and dense 16mm height. To add a modern touch, Nord Rug is finished with a contrasting black binding along the edge of the rug.
Daily cleaning can easily be done by vacuuming or beating the rug outside. When vacuuming it is important to follow the natural direction of the fibers, as this increases the life of the rug. In the start the bamboo rug may "fluff" a little. This is completely normal and will stop once it has been vacuum cleaned a few times. If the rug is stained we recommend professional cleaning.
We recommend using a rug pad such as our organic Anti-Slip™ Mat.
The rug will change color over time if placed in sunlight.
When you feel this carpet between your hands, you will also feel the care that has gone into the dense weave. Of course it is less expensive, and easier to produce carpeting in conventional manner. There is, however, not much reuse of materials, which is why we believe this method is worth the effort. Another advantage is that no two carpets are the same; each carpet has its own particular and beautiful details.
During the production process, a uniform and tight weaving is a priority, so the end result is a high-quality carpet that will be long lasting, contemporary and earth-conscious.
